This artwork is part of my Truth collection . A body of work about what we hide, what we show, and what remains unseen. In these portraits, the eyes are partially concealed with gold leaf, referencing the idea that when we can’t truly see, we can’t fully know the truth. We can smile, perform, and move through the world while carrying something completely different underneath.

The original works are embellished with real 24k gold leaf. The prints are hand-embellished using imitation gold leaf, keeping the visual weight and symbolism of the original while making the work more accessible.
